This sculpture, next to the Spanish Synagogue in the Josefov section of Prague, says simply "Franz Kafka" on it. It's an interesting sculpture, but makes absolutely no sense in relation to Kafka: Kafka's stories were about the opression of the individual by society or the bureaucracy. And yet here we have an individual apparently in control of some larger, mindless entity. I don't get it.
