I was taking pictures on the grounds at Palácio de Queluz outside Lisbon when one of the other photographer/tourists pointed out this bizarre phenomena that neither of us had seen before: a huge ring of light around the sun. It's a known phenomena, but pretty interesting. The sky was a fairly normal blue colour but has ended up as you see below to better show what was going on.
