The old city walls extend for 6.5 kilometers, right across the penninsula that contains the old town. Some of it is ruins, other parts are in great shape. This section led up to a watch tower with good views, but to get there you had to climb this set of steps. Getting up was interesting: getting down was scary. There was also a refreshing lack of guard rails.
